WE NEED YOU TO BE READY TO HELP OTHERS! Can you take in one, two or more horses for temporary shelter? Do you have extra pasture, paddock or stall space?  Can you offer shelter for other animals as well? Do you have a truck and trailer? Can you help evacuate those who don't have trailering? EQUINE DISASTER PLANNING
The Mining Co. has a ***wonderful*** page with links to a number of essential sites with disaster planning information. This is information which one needs to know IN ADVANCE of a storm. There is a checklist to print out and complete along with pages of "what to do if ..." in the presence of imminent danger. Please spend a few extra minutes to check all of this out ... it may help you to save the life of your horse.
