Ms Beckner lives in Lafayette, Indiana , along with her husband of 25 years and two children, two horses, one dog and 3 cats. Ms Beckner has been in to Telepathic communicating with horses ever since she was 4 years old . When asked  if she ever showed horses she laughed and said, "No, that's not for me. I do all the foundation training and mental training and leave the precise training for a respectable trainer to do." Ms. Beckner works with "problem" horses along with their "problem" owners. She stated, "Horses don't have problems -- people do."
