Boarding
at Penzance, Douglas, MA We're not fancy but we're happy and healthy! A place where horses and people get to be ... well, horses and people! Around here we celebrate the difference in our personalities and appreciate the uniqueness of each one of the horses here. Whether the horses are "Penzance" horses or are visiting just for a short time, each one is treated as "a member of the family". All the horses are given the choice of whether or not they want to be inside, out of the weather or outside. They have free-choice quality hay at all times and individual diets of natural grains, fresh veggies and fruits combined with herbs of the need or season twice daily. Some buddies are paired in a paddock and others are in a small herd depending upon individual personalities. Our training and handling is "natural"; we use as little force
and restraint as possible and training happens on a daily basis, 7 days a week. Everyone
here strives for a willing partnership from his/her horses so owners are encouraged to
learn along with their horses. We groom and tack up within the herd situation and the
horses are always more than willing to "help" with the mucking of the paddocks
or the filling of the water tubs! |
We play games or go for walks
as well as ride through our beautiful New England woods and forests or school in our 200 X
200 natural riding area. Oh, and all our guys are barefoot and trimmed according to their
natural physical requirements. They are strong and sound on grass as well as tarred roads
and rocky hills. What more can we tell you? Give us a call! We'd love to hear from
you and perhaps help train your horse! (508) 476-1317
