JC's Bubba is an Appendix Quarter Horse. He is
now 24 years old. The jumping photo in the above collage was taken when he was 16
years old in Cape Coral, Florida. Our daughter, who was riding, was then 11
years old. The rest of the photos were taken last summer here in
Massachusetts. Bubba has a wonderful spirit, full of life, gentleness and
peskiness. He has taken many children from quivering knees of fright to
self-assuredness and poise. At 22 years old, Bub could still outrun them all
and win Championship in Barrels. He also placed in the top 3 for Model. At
24 years old, he hasn't forgotten 2nd level Dressage and moves in elegance
and grace. On the trail course he is unshakable, calm and confident. He is a
special horse ... one in a million. Before he was sent to us, he carried
many disabled children on his back. For four years he was known as
"Saint" Bubba. He's surely my saint now and always will be.
