Music

My musical tastes are rather eclectic, spanning most of the 20th century. On occasion I also listen to classical works, but it's not my usual fare. Here is a by no means exhaustive sampling of artists I listen to. I've deliberately made no effort to categorize or group them; music is a universal language, and the classifications often arbitrary.

Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Doors, Tori Amos, Miles Davis, Heart, Jefferson Airplane/Starship, Sarah McLachlan, Usher, Deborah Henson-Conant, LL Cool J, The Cranberries, The Grateful Dead, Paula Cole, Tracy Bonham, The Fugees, Thelonius Monk, TLC, Alanis Morissette, Nirvana, Dido, Quarterflash, Bone - Thugs 'n Harmony, Guns 'n Roses, Avril Lavigne, John Coltrane, Country Joe and the Fish, Pat Benatar, Fiona Apple, Benny Goodman, Quicksilver Messenger Service, New Edition, Lisa Loeb, Ben Webster, Foxy Brown...

Three local radio stations I listen to the most are:

From time to time I've spend the evening singing at Karaoke bars. I also play a mean tenor saxophone.
